A European-based investment management technology firm is currently looking to hire a pre-sales professional to their NYC office. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who love an entrepreneurial work environment combined with the fiscal stability of a large company (600 employees worldwide, 15 in NYC). A pre-sales professional in this field would be an ideal candidate, but fund accountants with knowledge of investment management systems would work very well. 4 weeks vacation, lots of opportunity to travel. Very open corporate culture, ambitious yet relaxed. This firm believes in empowering it*s employees and look for those who can work independently. 80-90k base + bonus.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Tasks
- Assist sales staff in qualifying sales cases to ensure that the company only takes on cases within our immediate customer segments, and that the company is not committed beyond its capabilities.
- Assist the sales force in answering Requests for Proposals and Requests for Information.
- Provide highly qualified consulting to potential customers during sales presentations and workshops.
- Represent the firm at conferences and trade shows.
- Provide high-level presentations to outside consulting companies, analysts, etc.
Competence Building
- Build, maintain and expand own knowledge of system to be able to give high level management presentations as well as focused workshops in all areas of the system.
- Participate in the development of a global PreSales database with general as well as market specific examples that are documented and reusable for increased efficiency in the overall PreSales operation in participating market units of the group.
- Train local staff in the operations of the system.
- Proactively work with the Sales Support tools (CRM and Incident Management), mainly to secure those incidents, related to sales cases on stage 40 or above in Siebel, are logged, that we follow up on them and that we can deliver on time, but also to support Siebel in being the sales coordination tool of the group.
Product Development Support
- Analyze gaps between the capabilities of the system and the requirements of our target segments in North America on an ongoing basis.

This firm is a small market unit, and from time to time tasks that have little connection with pre-sales work will have to be carried out.

B. CO-OPERATION/INFORMATION REQUIREMENTS
- Co-operation with Market Support in Copenhagen
- Close co-operation with sales staff and customer services staff with the purpose of ensuring an efficient pre-sales environment

E. REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE)

- University degree within economics, physics or mathematics
- In depth knowledge of capital markets and investment management
- 1-2 years experience in the industry
