Large City investment bank requires an experienced client facing Fix Engineer to deal with the banks buy/sell counterparties. Technical and client facing position the primary responsibilities of this position include the testing and integration of new Fix E-commerce infrastructure. As a member of the Fix Connectivity team, the candidate will be responsible for the development and integration of Fix Interfaces between Investment bank and our external clients and vendors. Daily responsibilities include managing the configuration and conformance testing of proprietary banks Fix Engine and Connections that provide our clients with access to our internal trading applications, strategy engines and direct exchanges destinations. A potential candidate should have extensive experience with FIX protocol and a strong background in systems integration of FX/Futures Trading applications and products. Having Experience working with ECNs and or Third Party OMS/Connectivity vendors are a major plus. This position also requires a solid understanding of connectivity, networks, Firewall and TCP/IP protocol. Skills desired: This position requires a strong background in FX/Futures Trading Systems, FIX protocol and the Unix and Windows operating systems. Experience with using Sybase DBMS is a plus. The candidate does not necessarily have to be an expert in C++ or Java, but should have a general knowledge of programming including debugging and testing new versions of production binaries.
