From a desire to assist the FIX community with free and open tools, ETLogic has just released a new on-line ‘FIX message decoder’ which is completely free to use. Simply visit www.fixdecoder.com, enter your raw FIX message and the decoded result (with field tags, values and enumerations) will appear. You can also click ‘Show me an example’ if you don’t have any FIX messages conveniently to hand.
Please reply to this thread or contact me directly if you have any feedback or comments.
Enhancement released - now runs and looks the same on all main browser types (Chrome, IE, Firefox, Safari).

> Many thanks for making this available Steven - I was an avid user of www.validfix.com until they decided they wanted to make money off it - I hope you are able to continue to offer this as a free service to the community going forward, and that you get some good leads for your DUET product along the way.

Hi Steve
I could not agree with you more. I was also a user of ValidFIX until I discovered the same as you - a simple message parser which is now being charged for cash.
Disappointing but good to know there are others out there with a different point of view.
Chris
Thanks Steve and Chris for your feedback. Yes we certainly aim to continue to provide this in perpetuity. There is also more stuff from us for the Fixed Income and Derivatives community in the pipeline!
Cheers
Steve
