Welcome to 2013!
To mark the New Year, we’ve just launched a new, visual FIX log decoder at http://fixspec.com/.
Online FIX log decoders are not new (including the recent tool from Drew Noakes see http://www.fixprotocol.org/discuss/read/c44a5bf7), so who cares right? Well we think our decoder isn’t like others that you can find on the net – we’ve added some unique features that we hope will make your job easier:
- Messages are directional arrows on a scrolling timeline, to better representing the message flow
- Message validation the message against the protocol version or spec to alert for unknown tags or values
- Smart filters with drop-downs generated from the data itself
- See a complete order history chain by searching on ClOrdID of any link in the chain
The visual decoder is available free of charge to registered users. All message decoding is performed locally to ensure no sensitive data flows over the public internet.
Let me know what you think!
