Minimum Requirements:

·5 years Java development experience in a commercial environment
·3 years Swing development experience
·Beneath the Surface experience with the more advanced elements of Swing such as tables, trees, advanced layout managers, menus, multi-row table headers, tree-tables, etc. Those with experience limited to visual design tools need not apply - this is a deeply technical position.
·Extensive experience with Object Oriented design and development
·Understanding of and experience implementing design patterns
·Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or directly related field
·Excellent written and verbal communications skills
·Willingness to work in an energetic, fast-paced, and team oriented-environment
·The ability to work independently and without constant supervision
·The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
In addition, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
· Familiarity with EJB and XML
· Exposure to portfolio management applications

Description:

Financial firm in Boston/Marlboro.
This Java Swing Application Developer will contribute to the development of advanced portfolio management suite of applications.
The client application makes extensive use of Swing, including customized JTables, models, events, etc.
Daily Activities
Activities include but are not limited to: contributing to design sessions, coding, code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, supporting beta testing, bug fixes and documentation.
