Contract in Boston
Minimum Requirements:
-5 yrs Java Experience
-1 yr Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) Experience, especially in the context of WebLogic Server
-1 yr PL/SQL Experience
-2 yrs Swing Experience
-Experience with Borland OptimizeIt
-2 yrs experience in Java application optimization
-Understanding of and experience implementing gang-of-four design patterns
-Experience with architecture, design, implementation, unit test
-Experience with a formal software engineering lifecycle

Financial industry experience, especially in Fixed Income

Desirable:
-Advanced degree in CS
-Experience with rules engines/expert systems, esp. in Java
-Experience with WebLogic, Eclipse, PVCS, Test Director, Open Source Libraries
-Experience with Segue SilkTest

Job Title Java Application Developer

This Java Application Developer will contribute to the design, development and testing of a Fixed Income Portfolio Management System, with an emphasis in memory and performance optimization

Qualified applicants will be expert in the Java programming language with excellent object-oriented development skills, EJB experience, Swing UI experience and excellent communications skills.

Individuals must be self-motivated, willing to work in an energetic, fast-paced and team-oriented development environment.

The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and adapt to changing requirements is a necessity.

Activities include but are not limited to: contributing to design sessions, coding, code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, supporting beta testing, bug fixes and documentation.
