I’m an executive recruiter doing a search for two of my New York City clients.
The candidate will be responsible for developing, documenting and maintaining business-level components for large-scale distributed financial applications, automated test scripts, and 3rd party interfaces using C++. The position also liaisons with the internal development groups to provide technical direction on delivered components. In addition, the person will be responsible for documenting delivered features, enhancements and functionality. This is a junior role, so the candidate should have no more than 4 years of programming experience.
The candidate should have a minimum of 2 years relevant programming experience in C/C++ developing business applications.
Knowledge of various Operating Systems including Windows and Solaris is needed. The candidate should have some Oracle or Sybase database experience.
The candidate should have some working experience with XML. Understanding of messaging based distributed systems that support high speed transaction processing, fault-tolerance, application/data integration and security is highly desired. An understanding of electronic financial messaging standards/protocols including FIX is a big plus.
This role is in NYC. The client wants to keep the base in the 70’s, but will go into the 80’s for an exceptional person. There is a bonus as well.
