Hi all,
I need a very simple information.
Does TAG 112 (Test Request ID) have a maximum lenght or not in Fix Standard 4.2?

The FIX spec does not impose maximum lengths on Strings. As a pratcical matter, you will likely find some finite limits (or truncation beyond a certain point) imposed by your system configuration or your counterparties.

I would recommend <= 15 chars for that one as we encountered some counterparties with problems beyond 15 chars thus we limit ours to 15.
