INET ATS, a subsidiary of Instinet Group, is looking for a Technical Account Specialist to work in our Jersey City, NJ office.
Salary is based upon experience and past verifiable salary history and will not exceed 60,000.
-Location is very accessible from NYC and NJ. Just a few steps off of the Ferry, Lightrail and Path Train stop.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position requires being an integral part of our Trading Services team.
·FIX certification and Production Support of FIX as well as Inet’s proprietary ITCH,OUCH, and DROP protocols.
·Will act as a liason with the sales and Trade Desk departments to meet the needs of our subscriber base.
·The Technical Support Specialist will have heavy interaction with both Inet ATS and Instinet’s Broker/Dealer clients.
·The candidate must have the ability to quickly adapt to and learn new projects, trading platforms as they are tolled out by development.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE:
·Bachelor’s degree
·Working knowledge FIX protocol.
·Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking and connectivity issues.
·Knowledge of ECN and Equity Trading business
·Excellent written and oral communication skills are required to ensure effective client communication.
·Knowledge of Linux a plus
·Knowledge of Island’s proprietary ITCH, OUCH, DROP protocols a plus
·This person must be driven to excellence with the ability to work and think independently.
·Candidates must have previous experience working with the FIX protocol in a testing/production support environment.
·The candidate must have the ability to work as part of a team and to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
