Two new FIX website discussion forums designated for "solicitation"

Imported from previous forum

The FIX website now has two new discussion forums which are specifically designated for "solicitation". Participation in and email-based notification of postings from these (and all other) forums is on a voluntary, "opt-in" basis. FIX website users may adjust their subscriptions via "Edit Profile" button at the top of the FIX web page.

  1. "Product Discussion" is as an acceptable place in which vendors may announce/promote their products and in which prospective FIX users may ask "Which products can …?" questions.

  2. "Help Wanted" is as an acceptable place in which employers and recruiters may announce/promote their interest in hiring individuals with FIX expertise and vice-versa.

The "General Q&A" discussion forum has been amended to contain the following: "It is not acceptable to post blatent solicitation in this forum. Please use the Product Discussion/Solicitation or Help Wanted discussion forums which are specifically designated as "opt-in", acceptable solicitation forums."

The FIX organization’s policy re: blatent solicitation postings has been to reprimand the poster and delete the posting. These 2 recently added Discussion forums should address this by providing an acceptable venue.
