Whats the difference between Order DFD and Order Expire ?

Whats the difference between Order DFD(Done for Day) and Order Expire ?

“Order DFD” stops trading at the end of the current business day and “Order Expire” expires at the point in time defined by ExpireDate(432) or ExpireTime(126). “Order DFD” has no expire time by itself, it is defined by TimeInForce(59) that could be 0=Day in which case it also expires at the end of the current business day.

So, DFD is logical for Day orders ?
It makes sense for GTC or GTD orders, where its, lets say, part filled and DFD’edfor day and again next morning the order becomes active. Correct ?

No, DFD is not an order validity (like GTC or GTD). It is only an expression for a notification of an order that is valid beyond the current business day. ExecType(150) = 3 (Done for day) can be sent to notify the owner of the order that there will be no more activities for the current business day.
