Summary:
· The FT Firm Relationship Management (FRM) program coordinates delivery of the Firm’s full resources to clients that are among the largest and most important to our franchise. To ensure the highest value-added service to these clients, each FRM client is assigned a cross-divisional coverage team. FRM Dashboard and related technologies were developed to help these teams manage their relationships and to enable FRM Management to assess the success and impact of the program.
· The FRM Project Manager will be responsible for overall technology leadership for the FRM program, as well as for managing day-to-day tasks and issues.
· Based in New York, this individual will work with FRM Management in New York and London; CIS (Client Information Services) technology team; and various IT groups and managers.
· CIS helps formulate and drive Firm-wide Customer Relationship Management Data strategy.
· As a member of the CIS team, the FRM Project Manager will work to identify and leverage cross-divisional technologies and initiatives, with a goal of unifying data and promoting re-use over re-development.
· In addition to the Project Manager, the FRM technology team additionally consists of a Java and Sybase Developers, and Support/QA resources.
Responsibilities:
· Manage a team of offshore developers to ensure robust, on-time releases through enforcement of a development process that includes technical design specification, code review, unit testing, system integration, integration testing and load testing.
· Propose steps to improve overall system performance.
· Develop road map and coordinate technical details of integration with the O2 organizational database
· Schedule and lead meetings. Provide status reports to CIS management and FRM management on a regular basis
· Gather and document business requirements for new functionality and modifications to existing systems
· Estimate development timelines, provide prioritization and negotiate scope for each release; promptly communicate any timeline or scope changes to the appropriate parties
· Maintain a detailed project plan for all FRM technology development
· Write functional and technical specifications documents and obtain sign-off from development managers and the business
· Manage user acceptance testing
· Create/update end-user documentation and release notes
· Coordinate QA testing. Ensure test cases thoroughly cover all business uses
· Manage bug reports and support issues reported by the Help Desk to ensure timely resolution. Provide direct support and communication to end users as necessary
· Track change requests and bugs in Test Director. Manage timely resolution.
· Liaise with other IT groups (engineering, UNIX operations, floor support, etc.) to help resolve system performance and infrastructure issues.
Skills Required:
· Project Management: demonstrated experience managing projects, prioritization and time management
· Development Management: experience managing development teams, must have technical depth
· Excellent oral communication skills
· Ability to manage and grow relationships with various parties (good people skills)
· Polished technical writing skills (functional specs, technical design documents, end-user documentation)
· Familiarity with componentized web applications utilizing n-tier architecture and relational databases
· Application architecture and design
· Financial services background
Skills Desired:
· Hands-on Java and Sybase development
· Portal (Vignette) experience
