Job Summary:
Susquehanna International Group, LLP (SIG) is seeking an Outbound Connectivity Support Engineer as part of our growing technology team. The support engineer will provide 1st level support for hundreds of users and administrators at multiple sites accessing electronic transaction processing systems and their associated client/server based applications utilized in trading a variety of financial products. Responsibilities will include managing and supporting all external connections, working closely with telecom vendors, network providers and exchanges to enhance systems as well as track and identify problems.
The support responsibilities will be administered from the ETS desk located on the trading floor at SIG’s world headquarters, located in Bala Cynwyd, PA, which is a suburb of Philadelphia. We are approximately 10-15 minutes outside of Center City Philadelphia, directly off of I-76 at Exit 339, and centrally located to commute from Philadelphia and its surrounding suburbs, as well as New Jersey and Delaware.
SIG values its employees above all other assets. We understand that some candidates might need to move closer to the Philadelphia area for this position and as such, provide relocation assistance to selected candidates. This relocation assistance program encompasses temporary housing (located directly across the street from our headquarters), moving and packing assistance, and storage for household items should it be necessary.
Key Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years experience in a support, administrative or development role of connectivity systems.
In depth experience producing a strong working knowledge of FIX, CMS, OUCH, CTCI, and other exchange communication protocols.
Working knowledge of the Equities financial markets and products.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast paced environment as an individual contributor or team member.
Experience with UNIX and Windows Operating Systems as well as their basic applications such as editors and spreadsheets.
Programming experience in high level language (C++, VisualBasic) or scripting language (PERL, UNIX shell scripts) is a plus.
Ability to work flexible hours.
Travel is not a primary requirement of the position but will be necessary as needed.
