This is 6-12 month project with one of the major banks in Boston, MA area. Starts in two weeks.
This position tasked with programming code to enable FIX message connectivity between DST and SSC’s message hub.
Further, this resource will have responsibility for coding a Java-based interchange between FIX engine and the MQ-based message hub. This position is tasked with enabling FIX message connectivity between an external client and SSC messaging services.
This resource will be responsible for installing; testing and successfully implementing a FIX engine to communicate between SSC and the client. This will require the individual to work closely with the vendor supplying the FIX engine along with SSC and the client personnel. In addition the individual will be responsible for coding a Java-based bridge between the FIX engine and SSC’s MQSeries based messaging system. The individual is expected to take the basic requirements and implement both the FIX engine and the bridge with limited daily oversight.
The individual must have extensive experience in the following: coding in Java against an MQSeries messaging system. Coding in Unix including the following (Java, Perl, shell scripts), MQ Series administration in Unix, debugging skills under Unix as it pertains to troubleshooting 3rd party products such as MQ and the FIX engine.
The individual must have strong communication skills and be able to produce clear and accurate documentation for requirements, specifications, test plans and test results.
Core competency in MQ and Java Programming as well as broader financial services and messaging technology background.
