IBSN is seeking a highly qualified and highly energetic Sales Engineer. The candidate will support prospects and clients during the sales process by educating them about IBSN’s technology through product presentations and demonstrations. The Sales Engineer will work in a team environment and will be able to answer all technical sales questions regarding the software, hardware, architecture, implementation, and operations. The Sales Engineer will give prospects a high-level overview of the product and its capabilities; work with prospects to gain a technical understanding of their issues and goals and help them understand how IBSN’s capabilities can help solve those issues. Additionally, this role will be responsible for creating demonstrations and presentations specific to the client’s business needs and managing proof of concept or pilot implementations to ensure client success.
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for acting as a focal point between our clients and our professional services group during implementations. The person will be expected to accurately report on the status of projects, milestones, risks and issues and ensure appropriate escalation of any issues that can impact budget or deadline. They also will be expected to make recommendations to improve on existing methodologies and contribute to best practices on a regular basis to improve overall client success ratings on implementation projects.

Required Experience:
- An understanding of the Institutional Trade Flow and Trade Processing business (i.e. knowledge of commonly adopted financial protocols (i.e., FIX, CMS), Electronic Trade Confirmation, Straight Through Processing (STP) and the current industry initiatives)
- Experience with electronic trading operations
- Familiarity with industry standard order management and trading, risk and compliance, and back office systems
- Ability to present products in a competitive way to highlight the benefits most relevant to each prospect’s specific needs and interests
- Experience in supporting sales of high end trading software with long complex sales cycles
Required Technical Experience:
- Well versed in protocol design and implementation as well as all other areas related to system integration (i.e. networking, databases, programming languages, system administration, performance tuning, system architecture, etc…)
- Ability to configure our software to align with prospect’s business processes
- Knowledge of object oriented design and programming experience using Java and/or C++
- Experience with FIX-based trading systems and /or FIX-based order routing systems
