In FIX 4.2 it was mentioned that the tag numbers 5000-9999 are user defined messages but needs to be registered in the FIX site.
tag numbers 10000 above does not need to be registered in FIX 4.2.
In FIX 4.1 and below it was not mentioned that the tags 5000-9999 need to be reserved. Does that mean that it’s the same as the 10000 above tag of the FIX 4.2? No mention of tag 10000 and above was mentioned in FIX 4.1 below.
