POSITION DESCRIPTION
Technical and Functional Client Support and Testing

Responsible for facilitating client connectivity to the UNX trading systems. This role encompasses coordinating all connectivity / certification related tasks ( circuits/firewalls/testing/prd migration), documentation of engagement and maintaining test scenarios and the ability to configure various FIX engines. Buy side OMS trading system knowledge is also useful. Oversee log files, automated reports, review of monitoring systems, fail over procedures and connectivity at the FIX level. Periodic checks on the status of trades routed and whether there are any execution problems (why were orders rejected or why do the orders have a different price than agreed to). Good knowledge of Equity Trading Systems (order routing knowledge a plus) Moderate to strong FIX skills to resolve connectivity issues.

AREA OF RESPONSIBLITY
• Phone support, technical and functional
• Onsite support, training, technical account management
• Testing of UNX System components and certification of client connections and front end functionality

KNOWLEDGE PROFILE
• General computer science knowledge (operation systems, data communication, languages, databases)
• Demonstrated skills in MS system administration and understanding of .net framework, detailed understanding of FIX Protocol (4.0 - 4.4 preferably), with at least 2 years experience, Windows Registry knowledge.
• Programming skills a plus (soap, XML, ASP).
• Series 7 or 55 registration, or general equities trading experience is a big plus).
