Front-line support of fixed income trading environment incorporating electronic pricing, execution, and STP of US Government and corporate bond trading. Work directly with traders, middle and back office support individuals to resolve problems in a fast-paced realtime environment. Document and diagram processes, servers, and communications capabilities. Interact with electronic vendors to resolve issues with deployment and operation of vendor applications. Work with SMS packaging team to package and deploy software to the trader desktop.
Experience required:
Direct interaction with traders;
Strong admin skills on NT and Unix;
Ability to support internal and vendor applications in realtime environment;
Working knowledge of Sybase/SQL Server;
NT and Unix scripting;
Working knowledge of TradeWeb, BrokerTec, eSpeed, Market Axess, Garban trading systems;
Familiar with disaster recovery issues;
ION trading platform a plus
Skills and Aptitude:
Strong, clear oral and written communications skills;
Strong organization skills required for documentation and diagramming.
Perl, ksh
Visio or equivalent for diagramming
Must be able to work in pressured trading environment.
Must speak and otherwise communicate clearly.
