Global Equities Order Management Support Specialist,
Memeber of Global Equities Technology Support Group

This horizontal role provides support in a consistent environment across all
groups
of the equities platform with primary focus on Order Management (OM) System.

Application support analyst will coordinate the batch cycle releases and
handle
external connectivity between Equities and data providers or data consumers
both inside and outside of the firm, troubleshoot orders and other issues
within
the batch.

Description of Global Equities Technology ( GET ) Support Group
Responsibilities :

    *        24 hrs business days + weekend checkout; 
    *        Horizontal across equities; 
    *        Releases all batch software; 
    *        Supports and runs the batch; 
    *        Analyzes Performance trends and their impact on the batch; 
    *        Defines ( if needed ) and enforces Operational, Checkout and

Escalation procedures to Business Support or Development Groups;
* Performs Environment Checkouts for Production, Development,
QA and Contingency environments;
* Problems/Bugs detected during checkout are entered into the
issue tracking system by group memebers and escalated to developers.

Role Specific Responsibilities:

  •    Supports developed in house Order Management System, including

releases, batch modifications and support of the software system;

  •    Provides troubleshooting and resolution of issues related to OM

system, connectivity, order routing protocols and data sources.

Required Skills

  •    Sybase/SQL is a must; 

  •    UNIX is a must; 

  •    Communication skills and ability to handle pressure from Business

users;

  •    Autosys job scheduling/monitoring highly desirable; 

  •    Perl, Shell, or other scripting languanges highly desirable; 

  •    Knowledge of any of oeder routing protocols such as FIX or CMS is

highly desirable;

  •    Any Programming/Database Development experience is a plus.
