Duties:
Support of the following area: Equity Derivatives;
· Solving complex problems that require both technical and business understanding;
· Monitoring, supporting and troubleshooting production jobs and business applications;
· Participating in application release deployments;
· Coordinating with the infrastructure team (SA’s, DBA’s etc) on a daily basis
· Working on ad-hoc requests from Middle Office and Trading Floor;
Education and Experience Required:
Minimum BS degree
Capital Markets (preferably Equities) experience
Personal Qualifications:
· Sybase/SQL is a MUST; Oracle is a plus
· UNIX is a MUST, Linux is a plus;
· Wintel, .Net, Java/J2EE are a plus
· Perl, Korn Shell or any other scripting languages is a MUST;
· AutoSys or any other job scheduling tool is highly desirable;
· Any Programming/Database Development experience is a plus;
· Any Application Monitoring tools/software is a plus;
· Experience working in Capital Markets required.
Financial areas preferred: Equity ( OTC, Listed, Derivatives, Program), Trading Desk Support, Order Management Support, Portfolio/Risk Management, Market Data, Equity or Fixed Income Finance. FIX experience or knowledge a big plus.
· Strong communication and customer services skills. Ability to handle the pressure of supporting traders; trading floor experience is highly desired
· Self-starter with the ability to lead and influence others
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while following defined processes and procedures
